The artistically decorated 19th-century brandy jug is part of the upper strata’s rural and civil culture. The Murska Sobota Museum purchased it from the former owner in Dobrovnik/Dobronak.

Specialist description
Iz okrogle baze raste bučka iz rumeno obarvanega stekla, ki se zaključuje v ozkem grlu. Stekleno telo krasijo s prednje in zadnje strani dekorativna neorokokojska kartuša, ob straneh sta v školjčni okras ujeta putta. Čez ročaj, ki je oblikovan kot fantastična razpotegnjena žival v obliki kače ali ribe, jegulje, in ožje grlo se oblikuje okrasje vse do dela za izlivanje, kjer čelnico krasi ovnova glava. Vrh zamaška krasi sedeči goli putto z visoko dvignjeno kupo v desnici. Renesančni, baročni in rokokojski dekorativni elementi umeščajo umetno-obrtni izdelek v čas historicizma 19. stoletja.
