The portrait depicts Countess Maria Luiza/Ludovika (1874-1949). In 1898 she married Count Pál Szapáry, who was governor of Rijeka between 1905 and 1906. From the end of the 17th century the Hungarian noble family Szapáry owned the castle in Murska Sobota. Marija Ludovica Stanislawa Przezdziecka
