Crate from Felsőszölnök

1860’s years

Made of cherry wood, by carpentry technique. It has an upper chest-like part with a drawer at the bottom. Its front side is shaped as if it was a commode with three drawers. Each drawer has two wood buttons in a metal frame. In the middle there is a metal key-plate. Inside the crate there is a small drawer, the legs have a Baroque shape. In this area, the carpenter-made crates were replaced by these joiner-made commodes in the 20th century.

Cseresznyefából készült, asztalos technikával. Felül ládaszerű, alul egy fiókja van. Az elülső oldala úgy van kiképezve, mintha három fiókos sublót lenne. Mindegyik fiókon két-két fagomb, fémveretes keretben. Közepén fém kulcscímer, azon csak az alsó és felső kulcsos zár használható. A ládán belül kis fiók, Lábai barokkos vonalúak. Vidékünkön a XX. században az ácsolt ládát váltották fel az asztalos által készített sublótok.
