Late medieval castle site. It is located on a hilltop on the western side of the village, behind the houses of Petőfi Street. On its eastern side lies a deep valley. It is the remnant of the medieval castle of the Darabos family in Nádasd, which was turned into a fortress against the Turks. The castle is unexplored we have a plenty of sources about its history. In the 17th century it played an important role in restraining Turkish raiders.

Specialist description
A nádasdi Darabos család magyarósdi udvarházát 1590 körül védelmi célokból alakították át. A kúriát kettős védőárokkal látták el, ami a terepen ma is látható. A nyugati oldalon erős kaput állítottak, az északi fal mentén bástyát emeltek. Az „aprólék végház” fegyverzetét két tarack alkotta, amely inkább csak figyelmeztető lövések leadására, Körmend és Csákány várőrségének riasztására szolgált. A vár jelentősége Kanizsa eleste (1600) után nőtt meg. Királyi zsoldon 20 hajdú szolgált benne a mindenkori Darabos családfő vezénylete alatt. A szentgotthárdi csata előtti napokban, 1664 nyarán a magyarósdi hajdúkat Csákányba vezényelték. A felhagyott várat a török előőrsök lerombolták, felgyújtották. A földvárként emlegetett hajdani várhely ma emlékhely: a Magyarósdi patak és A Vadása-tó környékének élővilágát bemutató „Malomgát tanösvény” kiinduló pontja.
