Sándor Weöres – Amy Károlyi Memorial House

Sándor Weöres, the poet spent his childhood in this house. In the year of his death (1989), a memorial room was created in the building. Since 2006, all rooms have exhibitions. His wife, the poetess Any Károlyi's oeuvre is also presented, as well as the couple’s furniture, books, and manuscripts. In the park next to the building stands the bust of Sándor Weöres, with his “manuscript” of his poem, greeting Vas County. The artwork of the sculptor György Segesdi was made on the 90th anniversary of the poet's birth.

A ház zárt folyosóján olvasható az íróházaspár életrajza. A bal oldalon nyíló első szobában a Weöres család emlékei, W. Sándor doktori oklevele (1939), fényképek láthatók. A második szobában W. Sándor szellemi kapcsolatai ismerhetjük meg (pl. Füst Milán, Várkonyi Nándor, Bartók Béla, Kodály Zoltán stb.). A harmadik szobában W. Sándor egykori háló- és dolgozószobájából származó berendezési tárgyak mellett meghallgatható, ahogy a költő saját verseit mondja. A negyedik szobában Károlyi Amy dokumentumait, személyes tárgyait ismerhetjük meg.
