Reformed church in Bajánsenye

Led by György Nemesnépi Zakál, 1803 the people of Őrség built a 7x4 m oratory (wooden, thatched-roof loghouse, prayer house) and a school. In 1817 theydecided to build a brick temple in place of the burned-down prayer house. The church was dedicated on October 28th, 1821. In 1844, a four-room parsonage was built next to it. It is the only neoclassical building complex in Őrség. The first church-clock of Őrség was placed in the tower of the church. The memorial plaque of Nemesnépi György Zakál on the wall of the building shows the drawing of the oratory built in 1803, the oldest known building depiction of the Őrség.

A egytornyú épület faragott faajtós bejárata Németh László ácsmester munkája. Tornyában két harang van. A 350 kg-os harangot (b1 hangú) Seltenhofer Frigyes öntötte Sopronban. Felirata: „Ezen harangot készítette az öt községből, um. Senyeháza, Kerkáskápolna, Dávidháza, Bajánháza, Kotormány községekből egyesült Senyeházi evang. reform. gyülekezet Szűcs László idejében, 1897. május hó 1-én, 1251. sz. Hirdesse a nagy Isten dicsőségét!” A másik, 550 kg-os harangot (g1 hangú) Ringberg öntötte Linzben, No. 2554. Felirata: „Az 1914–18. évi nagy világháborúban elesett hős fiaink emlékére, készült 1921. évben a senyeházi, kerkáskápolnai, őrbajánházi, dávidházi és kotormányi református keresztyén hívek áldozatkészségéből Szűcs László esperes-lelkész idejében.”
A kisebb harang a negyed, a nagyobb az egész órákat üti.
