Ferdo Godina was born on October 18, 1912, in Dolnja Bistrica, his father was Mark, his mother was Mária Doma. The birth certificate indicates his name as Nándor. He was a Slovenian writer, publicist and editor of Ljudske pravice. His literary oeuvre consists of more than thirty works; he wrote novels, short stories, youth stories, sketches and short stories. He lived in Ljubljana, but wrote only in the Prekmurje Region. As he said, he only felt himself well here and it was important for him to think about the people he knew well. His most famous and successful novel is the Bele tulipke (White Tulips).
