The first play in the village was performed on September 26, 1920, during the firefighter's flag-celebration ceremony. From the 1930s, two young teachers, Jenő Musits and Ernő Nagy, were the organizers of the artistic lectures, along with the local chaplains. Between 1940 and 1945, the plays were organized by the Levente Association (military pre-training for boys) and the KALOT (Catholic village boys' association). Between 1945 and 1948 the plays were performed by the amateur artists of Rábagyarmat. László Ács, arrived to the village in 1954. On February 20, 1955, the first play was premiered by the new acting group, which Ács led until 2010, when his son, Miklós Ács, took over.
