The album was dedicated to the memory of by Mrs. Kálmán Horváth, Countess Geraldine Niczky, to commemorate the inauguration of the flag by the 11th Royal Border Army Battallion’s officers and staff. Since 1938, border guarding duties in Hungary were usually carried out by Border Army units. The album was made by Erzsébet Derezsán, a craftswoman from Szombathely. The cover is decorated with the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Hungary (small coat of arms with the crown), with angels holding the coat of arms from the two sides. One side of the flag is decorated by the two angels, this was official starting from August 1938, while the other side is decorated with the symbol of Patrona Hungariae.

Az albumot Dr Horváth Kálmánné Niczky Geraldine grófnőnek, a felszentelt csapatzászló édesanyjának a zászlóavatás emlékére ajánlotta a m. kir. 11. honvéd határvadász zászlóalj tisztikara és legénysége. Az országhatárok őrzését, ellenőrzését és a közvetlen határsáv megvédését Magyarországon 1938-tól általában a határvadász alakulatok oldották meg, amelyek a honvédség kötelékébe tartoztak. A M. Kir. 11. Honvéd Határvadász zászlóaljba 18 őrs tartozott. Az albumot Derezsán Erzsébet, szombathelyi iparművész készítette. Az album borítóját a Magyar Királyság címere (koronás kiscímer), két oldalt a címert tartó angyalokkal kiegészítve díszíti. Ugyanakkor az albumban látható csapatzászlójának egyik oldalát már az 1938. augusztusától hivatalos a két angyal által tartott középcímer, másik oldalát Patrona Hungariae díszíti. Valószínűsíthető, hogy az album még 1938 augusztusa előtt, a csapatzászló viszont már a visszacsatolások után készült.
