Figurine

First half of the 4th century B.C. (Early and Middle Bronze Age)

Hand thrown clay figurine from well-refined reddish, light-brown terracotta, that is chipped on top. The back of the figurine is also broken off, as in split in half along its entire length. The figurine has been decorated using the incision technique. The front and the side are adorned with several deeper, slanted incisions, two of them shaped in a 'V'. The incisions on the inside and the outside are lined with short incisions. They run sideways in two lines: from the waist down to the bottom of the figurine. The edge of the standing surface (legs) is adorned by a band of slanted incisions with the remains of white incrustation in the grooves.

Arheološko najdišče Kalinovnjek pri Turnišču

Specialist description

Ženska figurica je bila najdena leta 2006 pri arheoloških raziskavah na najdišču Kalinovnjek pri Turnišču.
Figurica je razpolovljena po navpični osi, odlomljena je tudi na vrhnjem delu, tako da ni znano, kako se zaključuje. Glede na obliko sodi v tip stebričastih figuric. Okrašena je v tehniki brazdastega vreza. Sprednjo in bočno stran figurice krasi več globokih poševnih vrezov, od katerih dva prehajata v »V« okras. Brazde na notranji in zunanji strani obdajajo kratki vrezi oziroma vbodi. Spodnji predel nog je okrašen z nizom navpičnih vrezov z ostanki bele inkrustacije v brazdah. Izbočeno zadnjico pa krasijo vrezani in zlizani »V« motivi s poševnimi linijami.
Po načinu izvedbe okrasa in tipoloških značilnostih jo umeščamo v kulturo keramike z brazdastim vrezom.
