Bull-head urn from Vaskeresztes

prehistoric, early iron age, Hallstatt culture, HaC2 period, 7th century BC

Bull-prototype, that is, an urn decorated with bull- heads on the shoulder and a tapered neck. The vessel is painted red, the rim and the tips of the horns are black. The pot was discovered in 1979 at the excavation of Mária Fekete, from the tumulus no. 2.

Bikaprotopés, azaz – itt négyes osztásban – bikafejekkel díszített vállú, összeszűkülő nyakú urna. Az edény vörösre festett, a perem és a szarvak csúcsa fekete. Az edény 1979-ben került elő Fekete Mária ásatásán, a II. számú halomsírból.
