The town of Beltinci in the Prekmurje Region was first mentioned in written form in 1322, under the name Belethfalua. In contemporary picture postcards, the backside was for addressing purposes only, and the other side was an illustration and a smaller blank space where the sender could write a short message. Today we call these postcards long-address postcards. The postcard shows a collage of four pictures of Beltinci on the first page: the church, the castle and the main streets. The inscription written with a fountain pen is in Hungarian: “Bellatincz”. The postcard was sent from Beltinci to Lendava on June 30, 1900.
