Lajos Merics has been making painted Easter eggs for almost 40 years. Both her daughter and her son-in-law learned the craft. Since 1995, they participate in competitions. Katalin Horváthné Merics was given the title of egg painter folk artist. Blown eggs are decorated with scratched, engraved techniques. They also make pierced eggs. Mrs. Mersics Lajos makes gingerbread decorations, her daughter and son-in-law make Christmas decorations, combining corn husks and different dry plant part.

Merics Lajosné közel 40 éve foglalkozik hímes tojások készítésével. Lánya és veje is megtanulták a mesterséget. 1995 óta zsűríztetik a tojásokat. Horváthné Merics Katalin megkapta a tojásfestő népi iparművész címet. Kifújt tojásokat díszítenek karcolt , gravírozott technikával. Áttört tojásokat is készítenek. Mersics Lajosné mézeskalács díszeket, lánya és veje csuhéból különböző száraz termésekkel kombinálva készít még karácsonyi díszeket.
