Belfries hold and protect the bell. The Reformed belfry in Pankasz stands at the highest point of the eastern part of the village. It was built in 1755. The year of construction of the four-column bell tower can be seen on the eastern buttress of the south-eastern column. Its bell was melted in the First World War. Until 1920 it stood without a bell. Then the village bought the present bell, which was consecrated by priests of three denominations. The valuable monument threatened with collapse in the 1950s, and was restored in 1964-65 following the plans of Ferenc Mendele.
