1987–1992

The Győrvár Village House is an imposing organic architecture hallmarked by Imre Makovecz. It was designed by Dezső Ekler at that time a colleague and student of Makovecz (later awarded the Ybl, Prima and Hungarian Art Prize). The building was completed in 1992 by VASBER with considerable social involvement. The building houses the Village House Friendship Association, the Telehouse and the Elderly Club.

A Faluház Győrvár ikonikus épülete. „Makovecz-ház”, mely a tanítvány, Ekler Dezső munkája.
Ekler 1991-től önállóan dolgozó, de a Makovecz-iskola gondolatiságát továbbvivő, továbbgondoló építész. Lakható, szerethető, szimbolikus tartalommal bíró házakat tervez. Az építészetet a világ és az ember viszonyának tisztázására használja, a mikrokozmosz és a makrokozmosz összhangjának megteremtésére.
A Győrvári Faluház kerek fakupoláját kör alakban elhelyezett hatalmas ágasok és ágasfákat utánzó ácsolt gerendázat tartja.
Távoli előképe a gótika, A tekintetet felfele vonzó elkápráztató szépség, erdőre boruló égbolt-mennybolt.
