Jug, decorated with furrowed incision

This one-handled jug with an upright, straight mouth and handle is nicely decorated along the surface with furrowed incisions. In the middle of the jug, there is a wide band of zigzag incisions with a bundle of straight lines on both sides. Under the mouth are strings of triangular or partially rhombic motifs. Both sides of the body of the jug are decorated with slanted furrowed incisions with an unadorned band inbetween. Below the rim of the mouth all the furrowed lines close end in the shape of the letter 'S'. The bottom of the jug is decorated with two slanted bands in the shape of the 'S' motif.

Specialist description

Rahlo trebušast enoročajni vrček s pokončnim ravnim ustjem in ročajem je posebej lepo okrašen po celotni površini z brazdastim vrezom. Nasproti ročaja poteka širok pas, sestavljen po sredi iz snopa cikcakastih brazd, na obeh straneh pa ga spremljata snopa ravnih črt. Pod ustjem se navpično potekajoč pas razcepi in tvori trikotni oziroma delni rombični motiv. Na obeh straneh navpičnega pasu je vrček okrašen s po dvema poljema poševnih brazdastih vrezov, med katerima poteka en neokrašen pas, ki vrčku daje še dodatno nenavadno vpadljiv izraz. Tik pod robom ustja se vse vrezane črte zalomijo in se zaključujejo v obliki črke »S«. Na spodnjem delu posode pa sta poševno okrašeni, simetrično razporejeni polji zamejeni s po dvema poševnima trakovoma v obliki S-motiva.
