Reannexation festivity in Felsőcsatár

The reannexation festivity of Felsőcsatár (at that time Alsócsatár and Felsőcsatár) was organized on January 10, 1923 in the schoolyard. In 1921, the Boundary Committee for the implementation of the Trianon Peace Treaty first awarded Felsőcsatár to Austria, but due to local residents' protests, a conciliation followed. By a resolution of the Council of the League of Nations of September 17, 1922, Alsócsatár and Felsőcsatár were returned to Hungary on January 10, 1923. The handover ceremony was held at the school after the Thanksgiving Mass. The committee then moved to the handover in Pornóapáti, where the reannexation of Magyarkeresztes, Németkeresztes, Horvátlövő and Pornóapáti took place.

Felsőcsatár (akkor Alsócsatár és Felsőcsatár) visszacsatolási ünnepsége 1923. január 10-én az iskola udvarán. 1921-ben a trianoni békeszerződést végrehajtó határmegállapító bizottság először Ausztriának ítélte, de a helybeli lakosok tiltakozása következtében egyeztetés kezdődött. A Népszövetség Tanácsa 1922. szeptember 17-én hozott határozatával került vissza Magyarországhoz 1923. január 10-én Alsó- és Felsőcsatár. A hálaadó szentmise után az átadás ceremóniáját az iskolában tartották, majd a templom előtt Margitai József kormányfőtanácsos horvátul szólt az egybegyűltekhez. A négy falu horvátjainak megerősítette, „hogy a magyar haza ép olyan szeretettel fogadja őket keblére, mint a legtisztább magyar községeket”. A bizottság ezután a pornóapáti átadásra vonult át, ahol Magyar- és Németkeresztes, Horvátlövő és Pornóapáti visszacsatolása történt meg.
