The chest is made of wrought iron with a flap locking mechanism inside the lid. According to József Csaba, the donor, it is the product of the village blacksmith. It is believed to have been the guild box of the Weaver's Guild of Csákány. This is indicated by the fact that he kept the Master's Letter (1809) from the Weaver's Guild of Csákány in it. It probably functioned as a money box used in mail carts in the Csákánydoroszló area.
