The opera singer Mária Németh, born in Körmend, was a celebrated star of the interwar period, a member of the Vienna Staatsoper, regularly invited to the capital and for international guest appearances. She lived with her husband in Nemeskolta, where they ran an excellent model farm. The movie “Halló Budapest” was also shot in the former Vidos Castle, where the couple lived.
